SKIPPER YOUR OWN YACHT
Charter a yacht bareboat and you have the freedom to decide your own itinerary and cruise at your own pace. In fact, part of the fun of bareboating is sitting down over breakfast and deciding the plan for the day. Start early for a longer passage, or indulge yourself with a browse around the local boutiques and set off after lunch; anchor in a private cove for the night or find a place in a bustling marina – you are the one to choose.On a bareboat holiday you will need to be competent to skipper your own yacht, however if you feel that you would be more comfortable with a skipper onboard for the first day or two to show you the ropes and give you some inside knowledge of the cruising area, then this can be arranged. To charter bareboat you will need to have experience up to RYA Day Skipper level in addition to one experienced crew member onboard.
Bareboat yachts are handed over to you with a full technical briefing and come fully equipped for your maximum comfort and safety. Provisioning can usually be organized in advance, so you can step aboard to find your favourite wine, charcuterie and fromagerie and be ready to cast off within the shortest possible time.
If you want a bit of extra room, choose a Catamaran. With spacious accommodation and higher ceiling, it adds that little bit of luxury to a sailing charter.
