St. Maarten
St.Maarten, is only 37 square miles, but with a shared Dutch and French heritage it manages to blend both cultures and has developed as a major yachting centre with the Caribbean’s largest lagoon, Simpson Bay, home to some of the world’s mega yachts. Rugged mountains and spectacular landscapes as well as a beautiful coastline make St. Maarten a fantastic destination to charter in.
Antigua and Barbuda
Antigua is the largest of the British Leeward Islands, and ‘still very much a British colony due to its two hundred year association with the British Navy. With palm fringed beaches, numerous anchorages and an almost unbroken coral reef it offers perfect conditions for sailing, snorkeling and diving in its crystal clear waters. Antiqua is a party island, but if you are searching for a little more tranquility then cruise the 30 miles over to Barbuda where you will find miles of beautiful pink and white shell laden beaches, numerous wrecks for diving and for nature lovers, exotic birds and basking turtles.
Guadeloupe
Guadeloupe has a particularly French flavor with great Creole restaurants to tempt your palate at the end of a day spent cruising the pristine turquoise waters among the islands of Marie Galante, Iles des Saintes and the mysterious island of Dominica to the south. You might also want to visit the Jacques Cousteau Reserve and experience the exceptional snorkeling and diving at nearby Pigeon Island.
St.Bart’s
Part of the French department of Guadeloupe, this island which many say is the most beautiful in the Caribbean, is a haunt of the rich and famous. St. Barts is definitely upscale- chic and simply stunning. With it’s tropical green interior and white beaches. Gustavia, the main town, is a picturesque place of red-roofed buildings, boutiques, a yacht-filled harbor, and a very relaxed lifestyle.
